How to Connect internet using your mobile (SE S312, SE W205, SGH S3310, SGH 312, SE p990i, Motorola V60 ) phone whithout PC suite

I recently purchased a Sony Ericsson s312, But unfortunately Sony ericsson stopped their  PC suite support for this model. I was so disappointed when I found this because I used to browse internet using my previous mobile as modem in my computer through Airtel Gprs.  After a week of research and spent my reasonable time in searching over the internet, I found the procedure to connect internet without having a Pc suite installed.I thought it will be nice to share with you people, at least this post will save your time. This article will guide you to configure internet in your computer using SE S312 mobile but the same procedure will work for all mobile phones...

TO ACTIVATE GPRS IN YOUR MOBILE


     If you are a  Aircel users, Aircel online service must be activated to use your mobile phone as modem even though Aircel gprs is working.

    To activate aircel online service, sms  GPRS BP SONY S312 ("Sony s312" is the manufacturer and model name of your phone) and send to 57788, Gprs will be activated within 48 hrs,

    Then,  sms  WAP to 121, receive the online service setting for your mobile.


If you are a Airtel users, you only need to activate Gprs, nothing else to be activated.

     To activate one day Internet pack, Type *555*2# while your mobile is on standby screen and click on send. After a while the gprs will be activated for you and to receive gprs setting SMS MO to 52567 you will receive gprs settings as sms. You need to save those settings.

Note: For gprs i will suggest u  to use Vodafone(30-40 Kbps), because of the speed. Other providers u will get the speed mentioned below
Airtel(20-30 Kbps)
Aircel(10-20 Kbps) in urban
Aircel(1-6 Kbps)in rural, as they use tower which does not support edge networking.
If ur provider supports edge networking and u r in that area, it can identified with gprs symbol of the phone
E-Edge networking enabled - we can get more speed in gprs
G-Edge networking not enabled

CONFIGURE MODEM DEVICE IN COMPUTER

     1.  Download the driver first, use the below link to download. (The below link is for SE S312, if you have other mobile you can download drivers from official website)
   http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/usbdrivers/s312?cc=gb&lc=en

     2.  If your os is win 7, right click on driver package, select properties, click on compatibility tab,  put a  tick mark on Run this program in compatibility mode for select Windows vista from the drop down menu. Click on and install it.

     3.  Type devmgmt.msc in run and hit enter, In the device manager windows expand modems, right click on modem in device manager(Ex: sony ericsson mobile device), Choose Properties, Go to diagnostics,
click on  Query Modem,

   Then it will show AT success, That means your modem is connected and working properly.

     4.  Then go to Advanced Tab,Under Extra initialization commands, Type the highlighed words

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","aircelgprs.pr"<cr>    (for aircel users)
AT+cgdcont=1,”ip”,”airtelgprs.com”       (for airtel user)

                                                                                               
     5.   Then go to control panel, network and sharing center, click on setup a new connection and Create a new dial up connection,

name  : aircel, Dial no.: *99#                                                                                                                          name  : airtel, Dial no.: *99***1#

           Note: user name and pwd should be blank.(for both aircel and airtel)

Click the connect button, to start surfing the Internet.

How to get more relevant results on Google search

Lost in internet?   Found something irrelevant to what you are looking for in Google search? Calm down. This time you have reached the right place. This post will show you how to make Google search understand and obey what you are saying.

Do you think that the internet contains  thousands of sites which will provide you information? No it's not, Internet contains billions and trillions of sites.
Damn?! Then who will guide me to the right place?! Search engines like Google are doing the job for you.  But it's a machine with a bunch of sequence written for it. Machines can act faster than man but cannot act smarter. If you make Google search engine understand what you are telling you will be pleased with it's service. here we will teach you a language which Google understand flawlessly :)...

MAKE USE OF OPERATORS

 The good thing about Google search algorithm is you can use some operators to fine tune your search results. By using operators you can combine results of two keywords, omit unwanted results etc.. Let see the functions of operators.

             If you are looking for the details about combination of two different keywords, you can link those two keywords by + or AND operator. For example if you want the application of Nanotechnology in engineering field, you would type Nanotechnology +electrical engineering

       But make sure there is no space after + symbol and if you are using AND instead of +, AND must be in upper case.

•  OMIT ( - )

             If you find some keywords has nothing to do with your results, we can omit the results consist of the irrelevant key word. To do that you need to add the irrelevant keyword after - symbol in your search query.

             Example  Dell desktops -laptop , this search will omit the details about Dell laptops and give you results only about Desktops.

• SYNONYMS ( ~ )

    

            If you are looking for synonym of a word simply type the word after ~ symbol.

Example : ~love; will give synonyms of love.

      

•  OR or |

            If you use OR or | between two keywords the search result will consist either of the two

Example : cup AND soccer

• RANGE (..)

            If you use the double dots between two numbers Google will narrow down the result between these two numbers

Example : Computers 1980..1985 , this query will give you results of information about computers between the year 1980 and 1985. Make sure there is no space before and after the two dots.

• ASTERISK ( * )
  

           Use this operator if you are looking for answer to a question. Google will replace * with correct word.

Example : * invented nanotechnology , this query will give you the answer.

            

USE GOOGLE ADVANCE SEARCH

   U can use Google advance search to narrow down your results. For that you need to open the advance search.

In the advance search windows you will be able to specify many things as you can see in the above picture.


USE GOOGLE SUGGEST

  While you are typing your keywords  Google will automatically give you some suggestions based on the popularity of the keyword. Use that as it will eliminate the spelling mistakes.

PHRASE SEARCH

 In the Google search bar if you type something between double quotes " " you are telling Google that give me the results that exactly matching what I've typed. This is a best method if you know very well what you are looking for.

SEARCH WITHIN A SITE

  If you looking for an information from a particular site Google has option to do that. 

Example : how to site:delphintipz.blogspot.com , this will return results only from delphintipz.blogspot.com.

USE SAFER BROWSERS

Use safer browsers like Firefox, IE 8 or above etc.. using Firefox for browsing internet is advised by me as it is the safest browser i ever know. If you feel that you are more comfortable with IE that Firefox, it is advised to install IE8 or IE9 as these two versions are quite safer. never copy and paste your passwords while you are using IE as the hacker can access your clipboard and cull information by putting a script on the web page if you are using IE. CHOOSE THE RIGHT APPLICATION

One of the reasons why millions of people are enjoying Facebook is the applications that are really addictive, but while clicking on applications and games make sure it's not asking permission to read your personnel information like contact, address etc..  I would recommend you to use another mail account rather than your personnel mail account...

Facebook will never send you an email asking you to change your password or enter personal details. If they need you to do that, they will tell you where in your account settings you can go to do that. On a similar note, protect your email account that you registered for Facebook with, else someone can succeed in resetting your Facebook password.

Do not upload your private photo to your facebook account, if you do so you may ended up in seeing your photos in a porno site..
