App Review - The Amazing Spider-Man

Gameloft has come up with yet another amazing game called The Amazing Spider-Man. This game's story is spin-off from spider-man reboot movie of the same name. Gameloft, who is the leading game publisher on mobile device has given out great games in the past like Asphalt, Infinity Blade, N.O.V.A, Brothers in Arms etc. Lets see what they have given us this time.

Publisher              :  Gameloft
Developer            :  Gameloft
Genre                   :  Action
Release Date        :  28-06-2012
Universal App     :   Yes
Price                    :   $6.99
Size                     :   694 MB
App Store Link   :   The Amazing Spider-Man

Gameplay & Controls – The Amazing Spider-Man gameplay is nearly same as that previous Spider-Man 2 PC game. You Swing around city, shoot webs at enemies and save Damsel in Distress. I played the game in iPad and iPhone; found more comfortable because of its large screen. On iPhone it is little uncomfortable to play but not that bad. The best thing is that they have retained the free-roam. You can roam the streets, collect Oscorp Spiders, do small side missions and fight roadside thugs. The city is big enough to roam for many hours. The Combat and Boss fights are too easy which is a downside. But some boss fight are near excellent. The combat system which was used in Batman was used here.

Graphics The game’s graphics is really good. Not surprised because it’s from Gameloft who gave kind of games which has the best graphics on iOS platform. The game is designed to use The New iPad’s Retina Display. The city is beautifully built and colorful. Spider-Man in blue and red costume is rendered wonderful on iOS devices.

Music – Music is not epic but its good for a mobile game. The music was composed by Maxime Goulet and Pascal Dion

Game Inventory – This game has good Skills and Power Upgradation system. You can also buy few items from store using Oscorp Spiders which you can find on the streets and collect it. The skill points which earned from completing missions, fighting villains and other stuffs can be used to Upgrade Powers like web shoot, uppercut etc for this masked superhero.

Plot – The plot is not surprising. Usual things like save the day using your super powers. This games follow the story of the film of same name. Just came back from the movie, it was good.

Conclusion - The game rocks on iOS device (i prefer playing on iPad). It keeps you engaged for hours but the downside is that the game is too easy in combats.

Rating - 7.2/10

(Gmail Scams) How to hack your friend's Gmail account for FUN | Make your friends send their Gmail password to you

It's obvious, That each and everybody would have searched for it. You would have come across many procedures but none of them is gonna help you in an easy way.

But among all these one will look easier to you but will cause you disaster. I wanted to share that disaster here. That one will say that you need to make the Google confused, to get the password.

A quick Google search gave me this,

"
how to hack Gmail passwords

Step 1: Log into your Gmail account.
Step 2: Compose a new mail.
Step 3: In subject box type " PASSWORD RECOVERY "
Step 4: Send this to - pwdrobot@gmail.com.
Step 5: Write this in message box.
(first line)- Email address you want to hack.

(second line)- Your Gmail address

(third line)- Your Gmail account password
(fourth line) - <pwdcursive><
v703&login="passmachine&f=(p0assword)&f=27586&___javascript=ACTIVE&rsa#"
start?></script>=""></cursive><>
{simply copy and paste above.}

How it works: you mail to a system administrators automatic responder.
Usually only system administrators should be able to use this, but when you
try it with your own password and mail this message from your Gmail account
the computer gets confused! Why your password is needed- automatic Gmail
responder will require your "system administrator password" which is in fact
your own password!!! But the : computer doesn't know.

"

If you find this procedure somewhere don't dare to try that, Let me say why?!

  • This will not get you the other person's password but this will send your password to someone.
  • The script in the body!, It's a bull shit... It does nothing..
  • The mail Id in the procedure!!, I can create a one like that..
  • If you use the same gmail account for Facebook too, You are lost!!>.
If you find this somewhere, Give it a shit...

Hope that helps..

How to fix when Revit Arch/struct 2012 stalls on startup at secsplashwnd | Revit hangs on splash screen

One of my friend called me asking for help in making his Revit 2012 architecture application usable. Whenever he opens Revit 2012 it just hangs at splash screen for a long time and then it crashes with unrecoverable error message.

he is very frustrated as he is not even able to open the application. he desperately needed my help...

when i looked the process running in taskmanager while the Revit hangs I saw WSCommCntr3.exe consuming large amount of CPU resources.

I had terminated WSCommCntr3.exe the process in task manager and tried to open Revit 2012 application. Voila!! it opened in seconds. That's it, WSCommCntr3.exe is the culprit and i decided to disable the process from running. Let see how did i do.

Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012\Components\WebServices\CommunicationCenter and in the right pane
double click on polling frequency and set it as fffffff . Then set "0" for all the other values and exit as in the below image.

the above screenshot shows the entries only for revit 2012 architecture, if you have other autodesk products you have to edit these value for all products.

that's it, the process will never be visible in taskmanager.

Hope this helps.. Feel free to post comments.

App Review - Temple Run : Brave

App Price        :  $0.99
Release Date   :  14 June 2012
App Link        : Temple Run : Brave
Universal App: Yes

Imangi studios, makers of the Temple Run and Pixar comes together for making a new app called Temple Run : Brave. Merida, from Pixar's upcoming movie Brave replaces Guy Dangerous as the running character in this new game.
...

The new temple run is set in Scotland wild, where you run, jump, slide, turn and SHOOT. Yes guys, you are reading it right it is shoot. The new archery feature enables you to shoot bullseye while you run to gain extra coins.

Let's start. The below is the loading image from the new game.

Note: they are giving a bonus of 2500 coins for buying this app.

And This is the new Main Menu.

This time it's a Wild Bear instead of three mad monkeys... The story is Merida shoots a bear with arrow and the bear wants revenge. You can see chasing bear stuck with arrow on its back. Here is a image of Wild Bear chasing Merida..

The game has more details of environment than the original which is downside of the new game. The new one is not as smooth as the original, there is FPS lags. Some turns and jumps are confusing because you cant see it coming. The archery feature, pops on the screen and hides the power ups on the way, which might be little irritating.

What is more irritating is the sound effects. But the background music is somewhat good. And this time the character doesn't moan while jumping but speaks out few dialogues like - "ugh! So Much Jumping!" and after running for few meters "My legs are paining". The below is Merida seen with a Bow at the start of the game and Merida jumping over a obstacle.

The objectives are mostly same as the original except for few extra archery objectives. In stores there are few changes. An Extra power up for archery and no character unlocks instead there are outfit unlock for Merida.
The below are few screenshots of death screens in Temple Run : Brave.

Overall, it's not a worthy successor of The original Temple Run. And it's a paid app, it costs $0.99.
Those new to Temple Run may like this game but I think Temple Run fans may not like this game.

Overall Rating -  5\10

iOS 6:

iOS is the most sophisticated mobile operating system for iPad, iPhone and iPods. This year Apple has announced iOS6. The features are as follows:

Siri – Siri has been out for 8 months which can send messages, make phone calls, set alarms and reminders etc. Now Siri has been enhanced and it knows about Sports, More about Restaurant, Movies. Now you can launch apps using Siri. Now it has a new feature called Eyes Free. Apple has been working with few car manufactures like BMW, GM, Honda, Jaguar etc. to embed a Siri button in their cars which will be linked with iPhone. So you can talk to your phone with your eyes off the phone. That’s Eyes Free feature. Siri has now supports more languages.

Facebook – Like last year Twitter integration. This year Facebook is intergrated into iOS and even Mac OSX. Facebook Single-Sign on. You can directly share to facebook from different apps.

Phone – Phone app has been now updated after a long time. Now when a call comes in, up can swipe up the screen to bring up a new option where you can cut the call and send message like Im in a meeting or Will Call you later or any custom message. Also you can ask your phone to remind you later of that call.

Do Not Disturb – When you switch on this option the phone goes into a mode where your phone will never light up or give a sound when you receive a message or phone call or any other notification. You can even schedule DND time.

FaceTime – In past, FaceTime had a constraint that it can be used only through WiFi. Now FaceTime support over cellular. You can even dial phone number through FaceTime.

Safari – Safari is the same as Mac OSX update. It now has iCloud Tabs to browse where you left from other devices. Now it also supports Photo Upload from mobile devices.

Mail – Mail also has been enhanced for better performance. There is a new feature called VIP mail. The mail from contacts in VIP list will be notified on home screen just like you get SMS. Those VIP mails are grouped into a separate VIP Mailbox. Now it supports Flagged Messages too.

Passbook – This is a brand new feature in iOS6. This app manages your tickets, gift cards and other entertainment passes. For example if you have a boarding pass for a flight, if the boarding gate changes this app updates the ticket and also notifies the user on home screen. It also uses geolocation to pull up appropriate cards for user. Example if you are near Starbucks and it automatically pulls up StarBuck membership card if you have one.

Guided Access – This is also a new feature. This enables users to lock all controls in an app and also lock home button, so that children can’t come out of the app. Its locked to the app. This is helpful for autism children to learn independently without closing the app and for exams at schools so that students doesn’t switch to safari to search for answers.

Maps – Maps is one of the app which has been drastically changed from its previous version. Because Apple has removed Google Map as its map service and replaced with its own mapping solution. It has 100 million business listing before its launch. It has traffic service with incident reporting. Also it uses anonymous real-time crowd-source to collects data from iOS users anonymously and keeps the traffic update fresh. Now Maps support turn by turn navigation. Siri is also been integrated with maps, so that you can talk to maps like ‘Take me to Taj Mahal’ and it builds up a route from your current location to the location you requested. You can even ask informations like ‘Where can I get fuel?’ or repair shop. Even you can ask ‘Are We there yet?’ Siri will reply ‘Relax and enjoy the drive. You’ll be there in XX minutes.’ Maps now have a feature called Flyover. Flyover is like Google Streetview but it’s on the air. Flyover shows very high resolution 3D images of the building in main metros around the world.

These are the few main features of iOS 6 of 200 new features. iOS6 will be available for download this fall.

WWDC 2012 was expected by the people for launch of iPhone5 or iPad mini or New Apple TV. But they weren’t disappointed because this year products were awesome. For people who are expecting iPhone 5 – Apple may announce it in September and launch it in Fall along with iOS6. Keep your fingers crossed.

How to recover forgotten sepm encryption password | How to configure the symantec enforcer plugin for DHCP withou sepm encryption password

It happened recently to me that i need to test Symantec enforcer plugin for Microsoft dhcp to suit my organization's security requirement and i decided to take a shot.

When i was configuring Symantec Integrated enforcer for Microsoft dhcp server to connect to my sepm server i had to give the details like server name or ip address, port no and Encryption password !?.

Encryption password?, What the heck....!? I don't the the encryption password as some guy who was taking care of sepm before me had put that and i don't even have clue abt that....

Had searched through out the Symantec connect forum and couldn't find a way to recover the password, noticed a knowledge base article which reads " there is currently no way to recover or reset the encryption password"and i'm out of nowhere.. My only option is to perform a DR on SEPM to provide a encryption key. I was not ready for that.

Later when i googled, i found that without the having to enter the encryption password i can actually connect to my sepm server. we will have to open the sylink file from a working client and copy the value right after kcs and paste it there in enforcer window while selecting Use hash value as in the below images.

Voila.. My integrated enforcer connected to management server and shows green all over.. Back to my track again...

Hope this helps... Feel free to post comments..
